Things to look forward to
The highlight of the Nonprofit Summit is the variety of local, regional, and national speakers who will lead breakout sessions and deliver two keynote addresses. Suzanne Smith, CEO & Founder of Social Impact Architects, will kick off the Nonprofit Summit with an inspirational message about how nonprofits are social game changers, sparking new ideas for change and driving the action to implement it. During the Nonprofit Pulse Luncheon, Suzanne will share about nonprofit megatrends and what lies ahead for the sector. She has been widely recognized for her success in building and implementing award-winning programs and initiatives within the social sector. Regional and national media frequently interview Suzanne on social issues and social entrepreneurship. She has published articles in Forbes, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, See Change, Nonprofit Business Advisor, Upstart, and Grantmakers in Health.
“I’m most excited about the opportunity to bring Suzanne to Muncie. Social Impact Architects was one of the first nonprofit blogs I started following when I took on this role and I always found the content engaging and uplifting. I admire Suzanne’s advocacy for the social sector and how she uses her platform to educate and encourage nonprofits and communities.”
Local nonprofit professionals Jena Ashby and Brad Edmondson will present breakout sessions about collective impact and annual fundraising. Indianapolis-based , Tanorria Askew, who is a black woman business owner, personal chef, and racial injustice change-maker, will present an introduction to diversity, equity, and inclusion and anti-racism. A fourth breakout session will educate nonprofits about the importance of storytelling and branding.
These sessions are more than just a learning opportunity; they're a chance to engage, question, and explore what drives nonprofits to succeed.
