Successful fundraising plans are vital to your organization's mission and programs. Join Nonprofit Support Network for this custom course from The Fund Raising School at IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, which focuses on the strategies and tools for campaign fundraising. This course meets for three days - Wednesday, June 12 through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Fundraising Campaigns - From Capital to Comprehensive: Discover the keys to successfully planning a fundraising campaign. This course explores capital, endowment, comprehensive, and project-based campaigns. You will navigate the decision-making process, considering the "why" and "why not" factors, and uncover intangible benefits for your organization beyond finances. Learn how to engage stakeholders effectively, utilizing proven strategies and tools to design, implement, and manage campaigns. You will gain practical skills that you can apply within your nonprofit context.

Objectives

  • Understand fundraising campaigns including capital, endowment, combined, comprehensive and project in a way that is clear, useful and engaging;

  • Consider the “why” and “why not” when deciding whether or not to design and implement a fundraising campaign;

  • Appreciate the intangible benefits, beyond money raised, that a nonprofit can receive through a fundraising campaign;

  • Engage a diverse range of stakeholders to drive the campaign’s success;

  • Utilize strategies, tools, and forms available to design, implement, and manage a successful campaign;

  • Be aware of ethical issues associated with campaign fundraising; and

  • Apply learnings from this course to the context of their own nonprofits.
